Even though the journey was rough, the results were a great reward. The land surrounding the waterfalls base was beautiful and sensual, a grand place to live. The waterfall itself was not overly large, spanning about ten feet across the rocks, and plummeting to the small lake that gathered their. The water was fresh, which provided a source to clench ones thirst.
Raelin stood at the shore of the lake taking in all the sights. Dagan sat at her side, resting a bit after the run that had taken them to this place. As Raelin looked down at where Dagan slept, his paws millimeters from the waters edge, she thought of how this land would be the strong point of a nice group of people. The terrain surrounding the area would provide a sense of protection, since it was a challenge to make the way to the waterfall, and the caves scattered about would insure many places to take shelter from harsh weather, hold meetings, and give a place to live until the people that would live here could build their own place with the rocks and tress about.
Many bushes around the area gave a source of food, such as berries, and many things could be planted and grown. Harvesting animals wouldn't be to hard to do, though it might be a challenge getting animals actually here.
Raelin nodded and headed towards one cave. She already scoped it out, seeing if it was large enough for Dagan to live in with her, since wolves tended to sleep in caves themselves. Resting a hand against the rock, she smiled, thinking that Asperitas would prosper.
